A big thank you to all of our volunteers on Sewa Day!
Sewa is a universal concept, which involves performing an act of kindness without expectation of reward. On Sewa Day, thousands of good-hearted people across the world came together to perform Sewa and experience the joy of giving in its truest sense.
To mark Sewa Day, on Monday 7 October 2013, URI and Interact UK invited young people for a youth-led interfaith and intercultural volunteering day at London’s beautiful and historic Highgate Cemetery.
The day was a great opportunity to meet new people from all backgrounds, learn environmental skills with experts and support the local community.
