We are pleased to announce the launch of the Interact Magazine in Barnet Project. The project is open to young people, living in Barnet, aged 16-25 who are keen to express their views on interfaith and community issues by co-producing their own magazine.
Backed by official bodies such as the British Council and the Big Society Innovation Bank, the project invites individuals from a range of backgrounds living in or near Barnet to showcase their creative skills as writers, photographers, editors and graphic designers. Participants will have the chance to not only nurture their abilities, but also to develop them further through mentor-led workshops by industry professionals. What is more, they will be given the opportunity to produce a respected publication regarded for its valued perspectives on issues which affect us all. Inspiration will be drawn from intercultural and intergenerational encounters had during six volunteering days in Barnet.
