Check in online 24 hours before your flight is due to leave, to bypass any difficulties you might have had a the airport. Online check in is available until 90 minutes before the flight and is open to anyone who purchased a ticket online.
You will be asked to provide your ticket number, this is in the top right corner of your e-ticket.
The “Booking Reference” number is six characters long and contains both letters and numbers. This can be found on an e-ticket that was sent to you via email.
The award winning Emirates service guarantees that there will be as much comfort as an airline can provide for children and infants. Rest assured the staff will provide blankets and pillows. There is also ample storage facilities and changing tables in the toilets.
Child seats are allowed on your flight and can be installed if they meet the safety requirements of seats approved by the governments of the United States, Canada, Europe (general) and Germany.

How do I change my flight details after I’ve booked?
Log onto your account online and click on the “Manage a booking” section. From here you’ll be able to check and change various details of your flight including:
- Dates and times of flights
- Origin or destination
- Adjust stop-overs
- Choose a seat
- Meal changes and requests
- and adding frequent flyer numbers
Can I cancel my ticket?
Yes you can. If you purchased your ticket directly through Emirates.com, simply log onto your account and go to the “Manage a booking” section online. There you can fill out a refund form to cancel the ticket.
Please note that if your ticket was purchased through a third party travel agent, you will need to cancel the flight with the agent. This can usually be done online.
What is my baggage allowance?
Emirates has a very generous baggage allowance compared to other airlines.
For check-in baggage, the following is allowed:
- Economy class – 30kg
- Business class – 40kg
- First class – 50kg
(not including North and South America)
For cabin baggage, the following is allowed:
Economy class – 1 piece of carry-on luggage (55 x 38 x 20cm) up to 7kg
First class – 2 pieces of carry-on luggage (briefcase 45 x 35 x 20cm) and either a handbag (55 x 38 x 20cm) or a garment bag (8 inches thick when folded) all not exceeding 7kg
Business class – 2 pieces of carry-on luggage (briefcase 45 x 35 x 20cm) and either a handbag (55 x 38 x 20cm) or a garment bag (8 inches thick when folded) all not exceeding 7kg
