Inter-Act’s projects could cover a range of environmental areas, including:
- tree-planting
- cleaning or doing up public parks
- building or restoring a community garden
- campaigning and sharing best practice about:
- recycling opportunities at places of worship
- waste minimisation
- the importance of organic and local produce
All faiths promote the preservation of the natural world. There currently exist projects promoting the environment in many communities across London. Inter-Act aims to bring these two together, giving young people the opportunity to make good on the elements of their religion which promote the environment.
Our 'Faith and the Environment' sheet highlights what our different faiths say about the environment
Over the next few months we have a number of Interfaith Challenges where you can come along and help the environment in an inter-faith setting.
