Events Weekly interfaith dialogue meetings for students at Imperial college. Wednesday lunchtimes. Please get in contact for more information. Recently, Interfaith Action facilitated a discussion on gender equality and faith at Imperial College. Past Events Wednesday 5th November 2008 Gender Equality and Faith at Westminster University Interfaith Action facilitated a discussion between staff and students on the theme of gender equality and faith. Saturday 8th June 2008 Group Volunteering at Jenny Wood Nature Reserve As part of Volunteer Week, Interfaith Action organised a day of volunteering at Jenny Wood Nature Reserve in Kilburn (in conjunction with Camden Nature Reserves). It was a very successful day with volunteers helping with renovation of the foot path. Check out photographs of the day on our facebook group "Interfaith Action (Inter-Act)". Monday 25th February 2008 Peace and Unity Dialogue at Westminster University Interfaith Action facilitated a discussion between staff and students on the theme of peace and unity. Wednesday 8th March 2006 4pm Interreligious Co-ordinating Council in Isreal, hosted by Simon Hughes MP. The ICCI is a women's group organising lasting active projects for Jewish, Christian and Muslim women. Having come from Jerusalem, where they all live and work, three women spoke at Porcullis House about their most recent project - the completion of a tri-lingual exploration of the role and importance of women in Israel and Palestine, entitled "Women of the Book". It was pleasing to see that in Israel positive action is being taken to start to overcome, in some environments, the extraordinarily large barriers to co-operation. Targetting women, and hence families, ICCI are addressing the problem on the ground, at a grass roots level. Thursday 2nd March 2006 4.30pm Interfaith Action and The Three Faiths Forum hosted an event with the newly founded Interfaith Society at Queen Mary University in its campus on Mile End Road. Entitled "Why Interfaith?", it was an introduction to the concept of Interfaith and the launch of the new Interfaith Society at Queen Mary. Speakers were: John Battle MP, Labour MP for Leeds West and faith advisor to Tony Blair Fiyaz Mughal, Director of Faith Matters, Chair of the Ethnic Minority Liberal Democrats and Deputy President of the Party Miriam Kaye, Interfaith Officer to the Board of Deputies of British Jews Chaired by the co-ordinator of Three Faith Forum, Sidney Shipton OBE Download our poster for the event
