Interfaith Action's aim is to build understanding and respect between people of all faiths. We work towards a cohesive society where all faiths are not only tolerated but where individuals are respected and diversity is valued and celebrated.
We achieve this through facilitating dialogue, joint action and civic participation, as well as raising awareness and understanding. In turn enabling people of all faith communities to engage with each other and the wider community through projects encouraging shared and responsible citizenship. Most of our projects are tailored for 14-25 year olds in London.
We are organising a number of Interfaith Challenges in the London Borough's of Enfield & Camden this summer, giving you the opportunity to volunteer as part of a multi-faith team helping your local community and/or the environment. To find our more or get involved with one of our upcoming challenges contact Josh on volunteering@interact-uk.org.uk
Our Enfield & Camden Youth Programmes will be running until March next year, bringing up to 28 young people from different faith backgrounds (in Camden & Enfield) together to develop their own unique volunteer projects, that they will lead throughout the autumn in their local community - we will post more information as the projects develop.
Interfaith Week is taking place between 15th November - 21st November 2009, and we're here to help you organise an Interfaith Challenge in your local area, that brings local people from different faith & cultural backgrounds together, celebrating the UK's diversity and distinct contributions different faith communities bring to our neighbourhoods. So if you have an idea for an Interfaith Challenge that you would like to organise get in touch.
Interfaith Leadership Initiative is now open to applications!
ILI is a new project where 12 young people from Christian, Jewish and Muslim faith backgrounds will work together organising interfaith volunteer activities and events for 16-25 year olds in London between September 2009 – August 2010.

Whilst on the programme the participants will partake in a variety of training and support from the three lead organisations (JVN, Three Faiths Forum & Interfaith Action) focussing on leadership, charity governance, project planning, event and budget management, fundraising and interfaith dialogue.
